1825 Advert: 'EXEMPT FROM DUTY To Iron and Brass-Founders, Millwrights, Smiths, Machine-Makers, &c. &c. TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION, By Mr. GOODIER, By order of the assignees of William Mercer, a bankrupt, on Wednesday and Thursday, the 17th and 18th August, 1825, at the Foundry and Premises, situate in Allum-street, Great Ancoats-street, Manchester, unless previously disposed of by Private Contract, of which notice will be given :
The whole of the STOCK in TRADE TOOLS, and EFFECTS, of the said Bankrupt : comprising a large quantity of Pig and other Cast Iron, of the first quality a great variety of iron, Wood, and Brass, Patterns; Core Bars and Boxes, and Moulding Boxes of Cast Iron ; New Crane and Teagle, with Iron Barrels, Blocks, and Chains; Two Pair of Smiths' Bellows; Three Anvils ; and a variety of Tools ; also Three New 7/8 Looms ; a quantity of Loom Castings; Two Double Blowing Cylinders; Beams, Scales and Weights; Copper, Brass, and Block Tin; excellent Draught Mare, set of Gears, Carts, Two Trucks; Counting-house Fixtures, &c. &c.
