1911 The Yorkshire Penny Bank was incorporated as a limited company in place of a business with a similar name[1]

1959 Name change to Yorkshire Bank Ltd

1989 Acquired by National Australia Bank Ltd[2]

1990 The Yorkshire Bank PLC was re-registered as a public company

2000 National Australia Bank merged its 2 British subsidiaries - Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks[3]

2021 Yorkshire Bank is a trading name of Clydesdale Bank PLC.
