Colonel Arthur Cyril Roy Waite (1894-1990), Director of Austin

Son-in-Law of Herbert Austin (marries his only daughter Irene) and appointed head of the Longbridge racing department

1959 Director, Austin Motor Co., Ltd. b: April 9, 1894, Adelaide. Educ: School of Mines, Adelaide where he trained in engineering, 1909-14. Served during the First World War, demobilised in 1919 with rank of Captain; joined Austin Co., Ltd., 1919.
