1871 Living at 70 Broughton Lane, Salford: Christopher Brakell (age 35 born Settle), Engineer employing 100 men. With his wife Jane Brakell (age 22 born Salop.) and his mother Mary Brakell (age 66 born Settle). One servant.[5]
