1911 Living at Clifton Gardens, Goole, Yorks: George Bickerton (age 74 born Doncaster), Gentleman Retired, Mechanical Engineer. With his wife Mary Ann Bickerton (age 78 born London within sound of Bow Bells). One servant.
1915 February 1st. Died. 'Mr. George Bickerton, aged 80, a well-known Goole public man, who was a native of Doncaster. For fourteen years he was gas manager for the Aire and Calder Navigation. Afterwards, he was senior partner of the Phoenix Foundry and Engineering Works at Goole. Six years ago ho and his wife, who died in December, celebrated their golden wedding.'
