1903/4 William Beardmore, in co-operation with Vickers, established the Glasgow Electric Crane and Hoist Co,

1906 The business was sold.

c.1908 Jessop and Appleby Brothers amalgamated with the Glasgow Electric Crane and Hoist Co and the Temperley Transporter Co, trading as Applebys.
