1866 Hudson and Bousfield, and John Sykes and Son amalgamated to form Hudson, Sykes and Bousfield.

1899 The company was registered on 3 May, to acquire the business of woollen and worsted manufacturers and worsted spinners of the firm of the same name. [1]
