1837 Born in Sheffield the son of James Ellis and his wife Hannah Swift

1858 Married in Sheffield to Elizabeth Ann Smith - later became Elizabeth Ann Easterbrook

1878 July 24th. Died. Ironmonger and Ironfounder. Probate to his widow Elizabeth Ann Ellis of East Bank Road.
