1881 Living at Pilton Street, Barnstaple: Phillip Garnish (age 48 born Shirwell), Millwright Master employing 3 men and 1 boy. With his wife Ann Garnish (age 41 born Porlock) and their son George Garnish (age 10 born Pilton).[1]
