1929 Formed to hold the provincial newspaper interests of United Newspapers:

  • Edinburgh Evening News
  • Yorkshire Evening News
  • Lancashire Daily Post
  • Blackburn Times
  • Doncaster Gazette
  • Burnley News
  • Preston Guardian
  • The Sporting Pink (Leeds)
