1851 Living at Wood End, Saddleworth: Robert Hyde Buckley (age 38 born Dukinfield), Cotton manufacturer. With his wife Hannah Buckley and their son Robert Shaw Buckley (age 14 born Saddleworth) and four other children.[1]

1881 Living at Stockport Road, Saddleworth: Robert Shaw Buckley (age 53 born Saddleworth), Cotton Spinner Manufacturing Employing about 1000 Work People. With his wife Alice and two sons.[2]
