Sumlock comptometer

of Uxbridge, Middlesex.

By 1961 Bell Punch Co had founded Sumlock Anita Electronics, continuining the use of the Sumlock name which had previously been applied to 'comptometers'.

1973 Rockwell bought Sumlock Anita Electronics.

1974 Manufacturer of calculators for the consumer and business market. Models of calculator included the Anita 810, Anita 811 with a memory store, the slimline Anita 1211.

Rockwell's range of calculators under the ANITA, Unicom, and Rockwell names was very successful, but these were a very small part of a large high-technology company. As the prices of calculators plummeted in the mid-1970s, and the profit too, Rockwell lost interest in them.
