1879 James Allan, needing more space, built the Victoria Tube Works, Coatbridge, which were specially adapted for the manufacture of iron and steel boiler tubes, and for boiler tube ferrules.

1912 One of the malleable iron and steel manufacturers amalgamated into Scottish Iron and Steel Co[1]
