1977 Wayne-Kerr went onto a 3 day week "due to a run down in orders". Although short-time working at Wayne Kerr only lasted for 3 months, the electronics division of Wilmot Breeden made losses of nearly £500k due partly to Ferrograph and partly to Rendar.
1979 Rockwell acquired Wilmot Breeden, including Wilmot Breeden Electronics
1983 Wayne Kerr Datum Ltd made CAD systems for design of printed circuits; wayne Kerr Plc was located in Bognor Regis
1985 Public sale of shares in the company was heavily oversubscribed; the company was a specialist in computer-aided design.
